The 9th Annual Pond and Garden Tour

True Beauty Modesty Fashion Show

This is the second Modesty Fashion Show the True Beauty Organization has put on. It will feature clothing from Sears and K-mart, and MODEST prom dresses from Legacy Design Studio. We will be accepting free-will donations as well as clothing donations to benefit the local homeless shelter. Why dress modestly? What IS modest dress? Find out! Appropriate for all ages, so bring your daughters and grand daughters.

Grief Support Groups

Sept. 8- Nov. 3

Two grief support groups sponsored by Walla Walla Community Hospice will be starting in September. The groups will meet from 10:00–11:30am and 6:00–7:30pm beginning September 8 and continuing every Wednesday through November 3. The groups are open to anyone in the community, not just the family members of hospice patients. There is no charge, but participants are encouraged to register by calling the WWCH office or by e-mail.

2010 WWPD Citizens' Academy

Sept. 14- Nov. 16

The 2010 WWPD Citizens’ Academy begins September 14 and will be held every Tuesday evening through November 16. Registrations are being accepted through the end of August. Registration applications are available online at the Walla Walla Area Crime Watch website, www.wwacw.com , scrolling down to the Citizens’ Academy section. This is the 10th year that WWPD has hosted this free training for citizens to learn about their local law enforcement agencies and the courts. Attendees will learn about many different aspects of law enforcement and have the opportunity to go on a ride-along with local Patrol Officers. Specialty units to include Detectives, Emergency Services Unit, K9, Drug and Gang Units will also be covered.
