PSA Guidelines & Policies

If you are sponsoring an event (a concert, church bazaar, carnival, evangelistic series, or special guest speaker), we want to help.

A PSA is a Public Service Announcement. We use PSA's both online and on-air from time to time.

Here are a few things to consider before you submit your event:

  • We do not guarantee that we will use your event PSA on-air or on the website, we reserve the right to choose what we believe will be of interest to our listeners.
  • If it is submitted less than three weeks prior to your event, we cannot guarantee that it will be added, or added in time for your event.
  • All PSA's are to be event oriented, with a date it begins or happens. Ongoing, reoccurring or continuing announcements cannot be accepted.
  • If you're event is long (multiple days) we will display the event announcement leading up to the first day of the event.
  • We cannot accept fundraising events for church, school or nonprofit organization continuing budget needs.
  • We will accept fundraising event announcements for specific events like a mission trip or youth event.
  • We cannot accept fundraising PSA's of any type for the Spokane area.
  • All information must be present or we cannot use your event.
  • There are seasons where we receive a lot of PSA’s (Holidays and Summer VBS). Please be patient with us as we do our best to put them on in a timely manner.
  • Not all PSA's are aired.  In fact, very few are.  Announcers will randomly choose one or two events to highlight as time and programming considerations allow. They will be shared as an example of what's on the website with the intent of driving listeners to the PSA portion of the website.

The following information is required to placing your event on the website.

  • Name of the event
  • What is the event? Concert, special speaker, VBS
  • When the event takes place – Date and time
  • Where the event takes place – Street address, City and State
  • Is it free or what is the cost?
  • Is there a "register by" date? – If so, we need info 3 weeks BEFORE that date
  • Phone number for our radio audience to contact you for more info or to register
  • Contact persons name and phone number if we need more details
  • Phonetic spelling of anything that could be mispronounced
  • A few lines about what the event is – who the speaker/artist is, why you are doing the event.
  • Is it a fundraiser? If so, where are the funds going? Are all of the funds going for this project? (See related fundraiser guidelines above.)
  • Is your organization nonprofit?

There are times when Positive Life Radio is asked to support important events which have sensitive or challenging themes. Our policy is to decline these opportunities in order to continue a strong focus on our ministry of “creating and nurturing enduring friendships.” We strive to be welcoming to all who tune in and to foster a loving relationship with Christ. As a friend, we are here to listen to, pray for, and encourage our listening family.
