1300 flights canceled in Dallas/Fort Worth

DALLAS (AP) — Travel is slowly improving in Texas, but the same ice storm that has caused the havoc in the state continues to plague much of the eastern half of the country. The website Flightaware.com says more than 1,300 flights already have been canceled today, with the greatest share from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, where about 650 people remained stranded last night. Forecasters are warning that a mix of snow, freezing rain and ice could make roads treacherous from Missouri to Maine.
