Agency Head Personally Uses Company Funds
WENATCHEE, Washington (AP) - A woman who headed a Wenatchee agency that helps families coping with a death is charged with theft. Police say 50-year-old Karen R. Sheppard spent about $3,400 in Grief Place funds on travel, personal shopping and services, including trips to Wal-Mart and iTunes downloads. The Wenatchee World reports Sheppard repaid about $2,100 after she was confrtonted by board members.
