Arab Christians, minorities, reshaping US enclaves

UNDATED (AP) - War, the economy and persecution by Muslim
extremists are all pushing Arab Christians and religious minorities
out of the Middle East and into small communities across the United
States.
At Our Lady of Perpetual Help Byzantine Catholic Church in
Albuquerque, N.M., the Rev. Bakhos Chidiac (bah-KOHS' zhe-DAHK')
conducted a Mass this week in Arabic.
Chidiac was flown in from the Denver area, where he pastors a
Maronite Catholic church.
At the Albuquerque Mass, about 60 worshippers clutched Arabic
Bibles, responded to prayers in Arabic and sang songs some say they
hadn't heard in twenty years.
In other cities across the U.S., observers have noticed an
increase in Arab Christian services.
