Armed Officers in Spokane Schools
Spokane Public Schools could have its own armed police force starting in January. The Spokane School District approved of the plan to arm its thirteen peace officers in the wake of the shooting in Connecticut last year. Each high school and middle school would have an armed officer according to the current plan, with training from the Spokane Police Academy.
