Ban Concealed Weapons

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) - Local officials in the cities hosting the

major party conventions this year in Florida and North Carolina say

they're feeling concerned and hamstrung about state laws allowing

people to carry concealed weapons. They wonder if that's a good

idea in a politically charged environment. Tampa officials are

asking the governor for an order temporarily banning concealed

weapons outside the convention center.
