Bells Toll for 9/11

New York (AP) - the 12th anniversary of the Sept 11 attacks has started with solemn bell tolls and a moment of silence at the World Trade Center site.  The moment of silence marked the time when the first plane hit the Twin Towers on a clear, sunny day in 2001.  Then, families of the victims started reading aloud the names of those who died.  A second bell tolled to mark when the second plane hit the Twin Towers.  Former Mayor Rudy Giuliani and former Gov. George Pataki attended, as well as Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Gov. Anthony Cuomo and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.
