Bicycle Bandit
SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) - A man known as the "bicycle bandit," who
committed nine bank robberies in Spokane from which he fled on a
bike, has been sentenced to 17 years in federal prison.
The U.S. Attorney's Office says 34-year-old Lucas G. Woodard was
sentenced Thursday after pleading guilty to the robberies.
Woodard robbed nine banks between December 2009 and October
2010, when he was arrested after fleeing a Washington Trust Bank
branch.
