Calorie Count Won't Come To Menus Soon
WASHINGTON (AP) — The Food and Drug Administration says some thorny issues mean the dawn of calorie counts on most restaurant chain menus, in supermarkets and on vending machines won't come soon. The issues revolve around the FDA's trying to figure out who should be covered. The restaurant industry has signed on, but not supermarkets, convenience stores and other retailers that sell prepared food.
