Church - Theft
KILLEN, Ala. (AP) - Members of an Alabama church who've been
preparing for a mission trip to Honduras next month are scurrying
to gather donations and supplies for the second time after someone
stole items they had stored for the trip.
Tonya Holden, secretary at Gary's Chapel Freewill Missionary
Baptist Church in Greenhill, told the TimesDaily newspaper that
1,000 pairs of flip flops, 160 bottles of shampoo, 1,000
toothbrushes, 500 tubes of toothpaste and several hundred bars of
soap were taken.
Holden says the burglars didn't take boxes of Bibles stored in
the facility.
