Congress Not Expected To Do Much In Last Session Before Election

WASHINGTON (AP) — Congress is facing some big issues. But it's not likely lawmakers will address most of them as they reconvene today. With the election less than two months away, the focus in this abbreviated session appears to be on the bare minimum --passing a six-month temporary spending bill to prevent a government shutdown when the budget year ends Sept. 30.
