Dredging Debates In The LC Valley

LEWISTON, Idaho (AP) — The public will have until the end of this month to voice its opinion on a plan to dump dredging material from an area near the confluence of the Snake and Clearwater rivers. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has extended the public comment period by about three weeks. The agency wants to dump the sediment near Knoxway Canyon, using it to create shallow water habitat for salmon and steelhead.
