FAA Approves Lithium Battery Fix For 787's
WASHINGTON (AP) — A Published report says the Federal Aviation Administration is poised to approve Boeing's fix for the lithium-ion batteries that had overheating problems which grounded the 787 fleet. The Wall Street Journal reports the FAA is expected to announce today that Boeing's redesigned batteries are safe. The fix includes more heat insulation and the venting of any hot gases outside the planes.
