Father Wants Son's Death To Inspire Fight Against Bullying

LA GRANDE, Ore. (AP) — The father of the gay La Grande sophomore who hanged himself last month and died Sunday says his son's death shouldn't be in vain. The Oregonian says Joe Bell spoke at a gathering Wednesday, breaking his family's silence about 15-year-old Jadin Bell's death. Family friends are organizing a nonprofit foundation against bullying called Faces for Change. Joe Bell says he loved his son and accepted him for who he was. He says he wants the death to "stand for something."
