Fire update

The Eagle Fire near Leavenworth continues to burn. There are now about 600 firefighters working that fire, which is about 10 percent contained.  There are 30 homes there that have had to be evacuated.

In California, a wildfire just outside Yosemite National Park more than tripled in size in the last 24 hours. That fire is at 99 square miles and is only 1 percent contained.

The Beaver Creek fire near Sun Valley Idaho is about 2/3 contained now, but there are still about 1500 men and women fighting that fire. The concern there is thunderstorms predicted for the area this weekend – sometimes there are high winds with them that could make the fire start spreading faster.
