Gay Marriage Moving to the Supreme Court
WASHINGTON (AP) — The battle over gay marriage is moving from the ballot box to the Supreme Court. Justices are meeting today to decide when and how they will deal with the issue over whether the Constitution gives people the right to marry, regardless of sexual orientation. Any cases would probably be argued in March, with a decision by the end of June. Three weeks ago, voters backed same-sex marriage in three states, and defeated a ban on gay marriage in another state.
