GOP May Have To Approve Gov. Candidates
BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Idaho Republicans who want to run for governor, the Legislature or even coroner may first have to win approval from GOP leaders. That's according to a proposal slated for consideration Friday and Saturday at the Republican Party Central Committee's meeting in Donnelly. Idaho's secretary of state would put only candidate names on the GOP primary ballot with their party leaders' blessing.
