Hiker Rescued Safely After 20 Foot Fall

SISTERS, Ore. (AP) — A central Oregon search and rescue coordinator says a hiker who fell while descending from the summit of South Sister has been rescued. Deschutes County sheriff's Lt. Scott Shelton says 33-year-old Oliver Austin was taken to a hospital in Bend with head injuries yesterday. He says Austin fell 10-20 feet and was briefly knocked unconscious.
