Horse Swimming Pool Rescue

SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — Firefighters in Spokane Valley have rescued a horse from a backyard swimming pool. The fire department says the 15-year-old mare named Missy apparently stumbled into a neighbor's pool after Monday's strong winds blew down a section of fence. Authorities say the horse's hooves tore through a winterized liner, draining the water. A makeshift ramp allowed Missy to climb out of the pool.
