Idaho Students Come First

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Idaho Public Schools chief Tom Luna told reporters yesterday he hopes to resurrect a portion of his "Students Come First" package during the 2013 Legislature, including merit pay. Luna says he believes the only way members of the Republican-controlled Legislature will support anything more than nominal increases in teacher salaries is if they are tied to performance measures.
