Idaho to Launch a Program for Medicaid Recipients
TWIN FALLS, Idaho (AP) — Idaho officials are preparing to launch a program that proponents say enhances the efficiency of care for Medicaid recipients while decreasing costs. The Medicaid Health Home program relies on a primary care physician, who works with a clinical care team including specialists, nurses, and pharmacies to meet the needs of a patient. The program requires that the improvement of care be tracked for each patient. The Times-News reports that the program will be launched by January 2013.
