Investigators Look For Evidence Underwater In Skagit Bridge Collapse
MOUNT VERNON, Wash. (AP) — Investigators of the Skagit (SKA'-jiht) River bridge collapse are trying to slowly execute the extraction of underwater evidence. The Seattle Times reports the National Transportation Safety Board is particularly interested in a crossbeam in the southbound direction that wound up in the river. NTSB officials hope to make way for the building of a temporary bridge span.
