Israel Brushing Off International Criticism
BERLIN (AP) — Israel's prime minister is brushing off international criticism over a new settlement project. Israel plans to build 3,000 settler homes in the corridor near Jerusalem. After meeting with Germany's chancellor in Berlin today, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the Palestinians "understand" that the area is "going to be part of Israel" in any final peace deal. German Chancellor Angela Merkel has been critical of Israel's settlement policy.
