Kenya - Obama

KOGELO, Kenya (AP) — President Barack Obama's Kenyan half-brother says the president's African relatives are optimistic that he'll win Tuesday's election.

Malik Obama told The Associated Press Sunday that the family sees no reason why Obama shouldn't be elected for a second term. He said they're also praying for Americans to recover quickly from last week's superstorm Sandy.

Villagers at Obama's father's home town of Kogelo have high expectations that Obama will win on Tuesday. At the St. Richard Catholic Church, a parish elder said he prayed for Obama's reelection.

Most Kenyans consider Obama, the son of a white mother from Kansas and a black father from Kenya, as one of their own. Barack Obama has five Kenyan half-brothers and a half-sister.
