New York Train Derailment
More attention is falling on the engineer whose speeding commuter train ran off the rails along a curve in New York, killing four people on Sunday. A union official says the veteran operator nodded at the controls just before the wreck, and by the time he caught himself it was too late. Officials also disclosed today that investigators have found no problems with the train's braking system. They said yesterday that the train greatly exceeded the speed limit when it sped into a sharp curve.
