A new fire a few miles from Leavenworth known as the Eagle Fire has grown past 500 acres. 21 homes have been ordered evacuated. The fire near The Dalles on the Columbia river gorge still has 50 homes under evacuation orders and has already burned two homes. Firefighters in Idaho on the Beaver Creek Fire near Sun Valley Idaho are gaining ground. That fire is about 30 percent contained, thanks to cooler weather yesterday. There’s a chance of some rain there tomorrow, but today it’s red flag conditions and over 1,200 homes are still evacuated.
