Obama - Marathon
BOSTON (AP) — President Barack Obama will visit Boston on Thursday, three days after the deadly bombings at the Boston Marathon.
Massachusetts Gov. Deval (deh-VAHL') Patrick says Obama will attend an interfaith service at the Roman Catholic Cathedral of the Holy Cross. The White House says Obama will speak at the prayer service in memory of the deceased and for the healing of the wounded.
Hours after the explosions, Obama vowed that those responsible would be brought to justice. In remarks Tuesday, he called the bombings an act of terrorism but said investigators still don't know who carried them out.
Patrick says he hopes the interfaith service will help Bostonians heal together instead of turning on each other in suspicion.
