Obama State of The Union Summary
WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama is asking Congress to focus on attracting jobs to the U.S., training American workers and boosting investments in infrastructure, manufacturing and clean energy. In his State of the Union last night, Obama also said he wants to raise the minimum wage to $9 by the end of 2015. Today, he's heading out on a three-day road trip to pitch his proposals. His first stop will be Asheville, N.C., where he'll visit a manufacturing facility.
