Obama Talks Peace In Ireland
ENNISKILLEN, Northern Ireland (AP) — President Barack Obama seized on the theme of the ongoing peace in Northern Ireland today, telling about 1,800 teenagers that their generation must begin taking the lead to continue it. Obama also endorsed a plan recently unveiled by Northern Ireland's unity government to tear down so-called "peace lines" — security walls that separate British Protestant and Irish Catholic turf — by 2023. Obama is in Ireland for the G-8 summit.
