Officials Evacuate Residents as Typhoon Approaches
MANILA, Philippines (AP) - Officials in the Philippines are evacuating thousands of residents in the country's northeast as Typhoon Songda approaches. Forecasters say the typhoon is likely to make landfall Friday afternoon. Right now, it has sustained winds of 80 miles per hour with gusts up 100 miles per hour.
