PULLMAN, Wash. (AP) — Pullman, Wash., police say they're still trying to locate two young men sought in a March 30 attack on a WSU instructor. Police Chief Gary Jenkins said last night that detectives had traveled to Western Washington, where the two had agreed to surrender but neither showed up at the Mukilteo Police Department near Everett. Jenkins says 22-year-old Robert Bean of Mukilteo and 22-year-old John "Matt" Cabanos-Soriano of Everett are sought for investigation of first-degree assault. The condition of the injured man, David Warner, has been upgraded from critical to serious. He continues to recover at a Spokane hospital. Earlier yesterday, a judge ordered 23-year-old WSU student Joshua Nantz released on his own recognizance.
