Reds - Opening Day Complaints

CINCINNATI (AP) - Some vendors at a downtown market that puts on
Cincinnati's annual baseball opening day parade are crying foul
over the scheduled opener next spring on Good Friday.
The Findlay Market closes for the annual parade, and vendors say
Fridays -- especially Good Friday -- are big sales days.
The April 6 Reds game also would conflict with Christian
religious observances.
Many Roman Catholics observe Good Friday by fasting. An
archdiocese spokesman notes that means no ballpark hot dogs or
bratwurst.
The Cincinnati Enquirer reports the Reds will ask Major League
Baseball to move the opener.
