S. Carolina In Federal Court To Defend Voter ID Law

WASHINGTON (AP) — South Carolina goes to federal court today to argue that its new voter identification law won't be an onerous burden on minorities. A federal panel in Washington is to determine whether the voter ID law violates the Voting Rights Act. A decision either way is likely to be appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court.
