Spokane Man In Jail Accused In Sending Poison Letter To President
SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — A Spokane man remains in jail after being indicted by a federal grand jury for mailing a threatening letter containing the poison ricin to President Barack Obama. Thirty-seven-year-old Matthew Buquet waived his right to a bail hearing after the indictment was handed down yesterday. Buquet is accused of developing the biological agent and then mailing letters containing ricin to Obama and U.S. District Court Judge Fred Van Sickle.
