I used to be completely immune to spring allergies. I don't suffer from spring allergies, but my husband does. He began his battle with adult allergies 6 years ago. It all started with a hazelnut. He could eat them before, but after one homemade hazelnut torte, he became horribly allergic.
He went to see an allergist, and found out that it wasn't just hazelnuts he had developed allergies to. Now, every spring is torture for him. He carries pocket sized tissues with him always, and takes prescription allergy medication daily. Our house cleaning routine has been upgraded to another level. I can't look at our flowering decorative plum trees in the front yard without thinking about the pollen they give out.
I still love spring, but I think of all the sneezing and itchy eyes it causes my husband, and the millions of others. When I saw this article, I immediately thought of him and you. If you suffer from seasonal allergies, this might be helpful.
