Stolen Gifts

CLERMONT, Fla. (AP) - Thousands of dollars in Christmas gifts
for foster children have been stolen from a central Florida church.
WESH 2 News reports the gifts were taken from the Liberty
Baptist Church in Clermont sometime between Friday night and
Saturday morning.
The Foster Parents for Lake and Sumter Counties told the station
that 130 toys and 1,500 gift cards were taken. The loss is
estimated at $20,000.
Organizers had been collecting and purchasing gifts for nearly
100 children since October. They are now working to collect new
gifts before Christmas.
