The Things We Do For Our Kids
I saw this and I loved it! A dad and his 4-year old daughter singing a bedtime song.
Looks like dad was using the song to distract his daughter from her fear of fireworks. Her fear was keeping her awake, and she needed to get to sleep. After watching this adorable video, it made me think about how our Heavenly Father helps us deal with our fears.
It's not with a pink ukelele and a funny song, but He gets down on our level. He completely understands us inside and out. He calms our fears. He promises to never leave us or forsake us. When we're worried about what's not really there, He continues to sing over us.
So as I think of this little girl and her daddy, I also think of a promise from Proverbs 3:24.
"When you lie down, you will not be afraid; yes, you will lie down and your sleep will be sweet."
If God promises us sweet sleep, imagine what he can do during our waking hours!
