Traffic Congestions = Big Fuel Costs

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — A new study from the Texas A&M finds the cost of traffic congestion to Americans was up $1 billion in 2011 over 2010 for a total of $121 billion. For commercial truck drivers alone, wasted time and diesel fuel amounted to $27 billion. The study finds the worst commute is the nation's capital, followed by Los Angeles, San Francisco-Oakland, New York-Newark, Boston, Houston, Atlanta, Chicago, Philadelphia and Seattle.
