WA Abortion Measure Passes House - Senate Fate In Question
OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) — The fate of a measure requiring insurers to pay for abortions in Washington state remains unclear as the state Senate prepares for a public hearing a week from today. The measure passed the House this month, but it's not clear that Senate leaders will allow it to get to the floor. Democratic Rep. Eileen Cody says her measure doesn't expand abortion coverage but ensures women have a freedom of choice.
