Fall Fundraiser Update

Positive Life Radio held their annual Fall Fundraiser at their College Place studios on September 16-18, raising $642,633 over the three day event. The Positive Life Radio network is a non-profit, listener-supported contemporary Christian station that broadcasts to the entire Inland Northwest and streams 24/7 online at plr.org.

“We intentionally set a goal that would stretch us, so it would be obvious that if it was reached, all the credit would go to God who gave us the funds to sustain this media ministry for another year,” said Paul Richardson, leader of the radio network.

Staff was on hand throughout the event to answer phones, take donation information, and pray with listeners, along with special on-air guests from ShareMedia joining with regular on-air staff to broadcast the special program. This year’s Fall Fundraiser encouraged listeners not only to call in to become a part of the financial support team, but to tell their stories of how the ministry has made a difference in their lives.

“Each year, I am still amazed by God’s answers to prayers and our amazing listeners all over the Northwest and the world who take time out of their day and money out of their wallets to help this ministry,” says Sali Miller, Donor Office Director. “It really sets a tone for everyone listening to seek God and to trust in Him first.”

The theme of the three days mirrored that of the gift book One Thousand Gifts by Ann Voskamp, a New York Times best-selling author, which invites the ready to intentionally embrace a lifestyle of radical gratitude. Over 1,800 copies were sent to old and new donors.

“This year’s results rival the strong giving we saw prior to the Great Recession of 2008, and by almost every matrix is proving to be a benchmark year to which we will compare in the future,” continued Richardson. “We are humbled by the trust this places in the team at Positive Life Radio to use every dollar wisely to enhance the mission of this ministry.

The station celebrates this year’s fundraising reaching 98.7% of their goal, which goes towards daily operations, community outreach projects, and more for the coming year. Learn about the Positive Life Radio network by going to plr.org.
