AAC+

AAC+ is the name of the new method we are using to stream Positive Life Radio to you. It is compatible with Windows, OS X, Linux, and most smart-phones like the iPhone, and the Android family of devices. There are many player options and you likely already have one of them installed. If you need one, here's a partial list.

  • We are also featured in the TuneIn player/directory that is available for almost all smart-phones and even some home theater streaming devices. Just search for Positive Life Radio.
  • The VLC player is an excellent free and open source option for nearly every operating system, phone, and tablet out there.
  • Apple iTunes with support for OS X on the Mac all recent version of Windows.

Help us test out our new AAC+ stream! Once we work out the kinks it should not only sound better, but work in Windows, OS X, Linux, and most smart-phones like the iPhone, and the Android family. We're anxious to hear about your experience with our new feed! We're looking for good and bad feedback. Please also include what player pops up, what operating system your in, and if you're on a phone, etc.

Most Android based devices require a 3rd party streaming application. We've had good luck with Xiia Live, the lite version is free.

Windows Media

This option will pop-up a small player window when an embedded Windows Media player. You can then continue to browse without interrupting the music. If you don't have Windows Media Player installed on your computer, you can download it directly from Microsoft. It is available for all version of Windows and OS X for Mac users. If you are browsing with FireFox they offer a plugin to make things work better for you. Note you may need to white list www.plr.org in any pop-up blockers. Some will call this "allow pop-ups from www.plr.org.

Windows Media (Standalone)

If you are having problems with the embeded player, try the standalone player. It should open Windows Media player directly and begin playing. If another program opens in stead, and doesn't play, try removing that program and trying again. If you need to download Windows Media Player you can download it directly from Microsoft.

Real Audio

Positive Life Radio has been continuously streaming in the Real Audio format since 1997. But we can no longer maintain this aging format. We are currently phasing it out, if you are still listening via Real Audio please try out one of our other stream options.
