Cambodia Photo Slideshow

Photos of rice distributions and more from the Rice for Cambodia Mission Trip. Be blessed and enjoy the images. The slideshow begins with a few images from the killing fields museum. To understand where the country is today and how it got there an understanding of what happened in the mid-1970's is valuable. An online search will provide opportunities to learn about it.
Enjoy the images of rice being handed out, of the Cambodia drama team sharing the prodigal son story and the photos of people giving their lives to Christ.

Spring Allergies

Spring Clean Allergens Away

I used to be completely immune to spring allergies. I don't suffer from spring allergies, but my husband does. He began his battle with adult allergies 6 years ago. It all started with a hazelnut. He could eat them before, but after one homemade hazelnut torte, he became horribly allergic.
He went to see an allergist, and found out that it wasn't just hazelnuts he had developed allergies to. Now, every spring is torture for him. He carries pocket sized tissues with him always, and takes prescription allergy medication daily. Our house cleaning routine has been upgraded to another level. I can't look at our flowering decorative plum trees in the front yard without thinking about the pollen they give out.
I still love spring, but I think of all the sneezing and itchy eyes it causes my husband, and the millions of others. When I saw this article, I immediately thought of him and you. If you suffer from seasonal allergies, this might be helpful.

The
is a well-known weapon in the fight against
, but exactly how effective is it?

To find out, researchers led by Dr. Ramón Estruch, from the Department of Internal Medicine at the Hospital Clinic of Barcelona, put the Mediterranean diet to the test against a low-fat diet. They followed participants to track rates of heart attack, stroke and heart-disease-related death. After nearly five years, the results were so striking for one group that the study was stopped early, according to research published online by the New England Journal of Medicine.

Each year, thousands of Washington residents become sick because of food that is prepared in an unsafe manner. Follow these precautions to help
:

Keep raw poultry separate from other foods (especially fruits and vegetables) in your shopping cart, grocery bags, and refrigerator. Put poultry into a plastic bag to prevent drips that may contaminate other food.

Be careful not to let drippings from poultry, packaging, cutting boards, or utensils, contaminate dishes or other surfaces in your kitchen. Cross-contamination can be a source of illness for anyone, even people who don’t eat poultry.

Always wash your hands after handling poultry.

Use warm water, soap and paper towels for hands and a mild bleach (1 teaspoon bleach per gallon of water) solution to sanitize utensils, cutting surfaces, and countertops.

Keep raw poultry and anything it comes in contact with separated from other foods.

Be sure poultry is thawed before cooking. Frozen or partially frozen meat is easy to undercook.

Cook poultry to 165 degrees F.

Have you ever felt like life was out of control? That's how Debbie felt when told she had cancer. But God was by her side - I think you'll appreciate how He showed up in her life.
Last spring, we introduced you to some very special people through The Story Project. We're continuing this new tradition and over the next several weeks we will share more incredible stories of what God is doing in the lives of Positive Life Radio listeners. This week is

In December of 2010, Debbie was diagnosed with cancer. During this time of decisions and loneliness, Debbie say's, "When everything else was out of my control ... the radio station was always playing songs that reminded me that God was still there...He cares and He is with me all the way through."
