Volunteers Needed for Free Health Clinic

December 18 - April 19

Location: Walla Walla

A new volunteer opportunity is coming to the Walla Walla Valley in the form of a free dental, vision, and medical clinic. The event is organized by Love Heals Free Clinics, a Boise-based nonprofit, in collaboration with established local agencies including Blue Mountain Action Council, Helpline, Family Medical Center, SonBridge Dental Clinic and the SOS Clinic. The two-day free clinic will be held at the Walla Walla County Fairgrounds on Thursday, April 18 and Friday, April 19 in 2019.

Since 2017, Love Heals Free Clinic has served over 6,500 patients in six communities across the country. These services are provided at no cost to patients thanks to local volunteers offering their professional services and local sponsors who provide funding for the clinic. DENTAL, VISION, and MEDICAL professionals along with general volunteers are needed to donate their time and talents to serve those seeking services. There is a specific need for DENTISTS, HYGIENISTS, and OPTOMETRISTS. The Love Heals Free Clinic will provide volunteers with necessary equipment, supplies, t-shirts, and meals.

All volunteers who register and sign the volunteer waiver are covered under the Love Heals Free Clinic malpractice and insurance policy. Clinic hours will be 8 am through 4 pm on Thursday and Friday.

Both professional and general volunteers are encouraged to visit the Love Heals Walla Walla website to sign up at lovehealswallawalla.org or text loveheals to 55222 for a direct link.
