Better Breathers Monthly Meetings

Providence Seaside, in conjunction with the American Lung Association, will be offering a monthly Better Breathers Club beginning January 12.

These sessions offer an opportunity to learn ways to cope with COPD, asthma, pulmonary fibrosis, and other respiratory issues. It also provides support from others who share in similar struggles.

The Better Breathers Clubs monthly meetings feature educational presentations on a wide range of relevant topics, including:

-How COPD affects the lungs
-Breathing techniques
-Exercise
-Medications and medical tests
-Supplemental oxygen
-Home healthcare
-Lung transplants
-Air pollution
-Smoking cessation

Meetings will be held at Providence Seaside Hospital (725 S Wahanna Rd in Seaside) on the 2nd Thursday of every month from 1:30 to 3pm, beginning January 12.

All meetings are free, but registration is required by calling 800-562-8964. Caregivers are always welcome to attend.
