Equipped to Care: Suicide Awareness and Prevention
Suicide is a hard topic. It’s hard to talk about, hard to know what to do in a crisis, and hard to admit we might not always recognize the signs of someone who is hurting, even if that person is close to us. Join us for our next Equipped to Care seminar on suicide prevention and loss and get the tools and resources you need to provide hope and help to those who are hurting.
We will hear from Dr. Kay Bruce, Counseling Director at Western Seminary and certified suicide prevention trainer, as she shares with our church and community practical, proven suicide prevention strategies, hands-on tools, and a faith-based understanding of how to care for others. Community resources will be available.
This event is open to the community and will take place from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm on Saturday, February 8th at Bethel Richland. The cost is $10, with the option to purchase a $5 box lunch. Childcare is available at an additional cost. Register online at . For questions or more information, email [email protected]
